Du launches BlackBerry solution

Du has launched the BlackBerry wireless solution to its mobile customers in the UAE

Mobile customers in the UAE
will soon be able to use Black-
Berry smartphones on the du
network and while roaming in
70 countries, the telecoms operator announced at the MECOM exhibition yesterday.

Du has signed a distribution agreement with Alcatel-Lucent,
a global end-to-end communications provider, to provide integration and service deployment of the BlackBerry wireless solution for voice and data communications.

Visitors to the Ericsson stand at MECOM will be able to view and control a highly-intelligent and innovative video surveillance system using a mobile phone or other device.

The interactive display incorporates split screens for multiple cameras, as well as a traditional computer desktop, and allows users to search an entire library of footage to identify when a specific area of a surveillance image has changed.
