STC names chairman interim MD until new Group CEO is identified

Saudi Telecom Group today announced that its group CEO’s resignation will become effective on March 27. Khaled Al Ghoneim tendered his resignation on March 18, just nine months into the job.

STC’s board of directors has appointed Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Alsugair as STC’s managing director, in addition to continuing his current role as chairman of the board. The appointment is effective end of business hours on March 27, until the appointment of a new Group CEO.
