Al-Barrak opts for hands-on role in Saudi

Alahmadi is set to remain a board member of Zain Saudi Arabia, an operation that launched commercial 2G and 3.5G services in August 2008, and added 2.01 million users by the end of the year, reflecting a market share of seven per cent.

Atallah epitomises the next wave of Arab business people, who having gained extensive corporate experience have gone on to pursue opportunities in their own right, and add to the sense of innovation gripping the region

doing When Ghazi Atallah left Cisco in September 2006, he was the MD/VP for emerging markets in the service provider vertical, having previously been the company MD for the Middle East for a number of years. It was the VP responsibility of his job that defined the timing of his departure from the leading IP networking company in the world, given his desire to want to remain in the region, though the desire to want to work independently and start something new of his own was something Atallah carried for some time.
